Jordie Poncy, Ph.D, is a cancer psychologist at the renowned Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. One week before his start date at Moffitt, at the age of thirty-nine, he was diagnosed with Stage IV, incurable, neuroendocrine carcinoma. He has now lived two years beyond what doctors projected. His insights regarding his dual role as cancer patient and provider have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour and in the Washington Post. When he’s not getting chemo, helping cancer patients, or working through his bucket list, he can be found spending time with family, making art, and reading.
