Fetishes get a bad rap. They are often misunderstood, and shrouded in stigma and secrecy. Resources for folks with uncommon desires are few and far between, and often perpetrate unnecessary guilt and shame. Sex educator Niki Davis is here to change the cultural narrative by tackling these tired stereotypes and destigmatizing desires that are vastly more common than people think.

FETISH is the first of its kind book, aimed at providing practical tools to help individuals understand the physiological and psychological factors behind their unique desires, overcome shame and fear, and build better relational skills. Davis draws on years of research and her coaching experience to offer an honest, compassionate, and evidence-based exploration of what it means to have a fetish. You’ll learn:

  • why fetishes develop (spoiler: it’s not just about childhood trauma!)
  • how culture, media, and society shape our desires,
  • tips for talking to your partner about your fetishes (and how you can explore together), and
  • practical guidance for overcoming shame and building self-acceptance

This book is an essential resource for anyone seeking to better understand their desires and celebrate their authentic self.
