This book chronicles untold sustainability history, highlights the stories of unsung eco-warrior heroes, and shares solutions for a more sustainable and equitable world, as told through the lens of award-winning environmental activist Maya Penn’s unique and inspiring experience as a young black woman and member of Generation Z who, driven by a passion for nature and its ecosystems, started her journey into environmental activism at only 8 years old. With 15 years of hands-on experience in the environmental activism space, her voice has become one of the most sought after. 

 Eco Revolution explores our collective connection to the natural world through inherited ecology and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) passed down through indigenous cultures throughout the world as people worked in partnership with naturally occurring ecosystems to create thriving, functional societies and how this has translated to our modern understanding about sustainability. Penn will take a comprehensive look at the current green movements around the world and how sustainable living can be reclaimed via the work of these groups, and the ways in which we can deploy creativity to bring about real change.
