Margie Palatini has written many books for children, including Piggie Pie, which was an ALA Notable Book and a Booklist Editor’s Choice book, Bedhead, which was a Newsweek Best Book of the Year, and several other picture books with numerous state awards.

Dan Yaccarino is an acclaimed author and illustrator of many children’s books including Doug Unplugged, Unlovable and The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau; the creator and producer of the Parents Choice Award-winning animated series Oswald and the Emmy-winning Willa’s Wild Life, as well as the character designer behind the Emmy-winning The Backyardigans. His books have won a host of prestigious awards including the New York Times Best Illustrated award, an ALA Notable designation, a Parents Choice Award, and the Bologna Ragazzi. Dan Yaccarino has been making books and entertainment for children for more than 30 years, including the animated series Oswald and Doug Unplugs, and the picture books Unlovable, Five Little Pumpkins and The Luna Sisters series. Dan’s children’s books have been named to the Texas Bluebonnet list, the Kirkus Best Children’s Book list, the New York Times 10 Best Illustrated list, and the Bologna Ragazzi. He is also the recipient of ALA Notable Books and state awards. An Italian American, Dan’s heritage inspired him to write and illustrate All the Way to America, which depicted his family’s immigration from Sorrento to New York City, and now Piccolo.
