About the Author

Louise Griffin is the pseudonym for two sisters, Kate Farrell and Thea Bloomberg, who write as a team. Kate Farrell is executive editor at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers. The editor of award-winning and bestselling books, she has worked in publishing for more than twenty years. Thea Bloomberg co-owns a coffee shop across the street from a beloved playground in Park Slope, Brooklyn, which was an inspiration for the book. She received her MFA in creative writing from Columbia University.
